Stuck in the en suite

I got stuck in the en suite again today!! If my bedroom door is left open then the en suite door won't open as the bedroom door is behind it.

It's a new build and I've been in about 18 months. Is this a health and safety risk? Could I approach the builders to ask them for a solution?

Thanks for any advice Grin

Marcipex, we have those half fold doors; they,re brilliant for tight spaces and can open either way. That would be my solution.

I would speak to the people who are living in the same design house as you - who will obviously have the same problem - and approach the builder together.
Hope you can get it sorted! Smile

Thought of a solution. Have bedroom door fitted with an automatic closer like you get on fire doors. You can get ones that aren't obvious just on the hinge side, doesn't have to be a great big metal elbow thing.

In fact put one on both doors, as it sounds like either could foul the other one. (But less likely that the ensuite door will open itself whilst nobody is in the bedroom).
