Valuation lower than purchase price

We have just had a huge shock, as our dream house has just been valued at 25% lower than the purchase price. We've no idea what we should do as the EA have made it clear throughout that the vendors won't accept any less. Does this mean we go back to the drawing board (and probably lose our buyers too). Help and advice please!

Gosh, thinks move on apace. Play your cards close to your chest is all I will say. They need to find a new purchaser if you do not go ahead. Negotiate carefully.

We once had a valuation done in order to borrow money fit improvements

The BS sent a valuer from miles away who didn't even come inside & valued it based on outside appearance & 'average prices for that type of house' - it was way off

(This was years ago, can't remember figures)

So they can get it wrong. Worth asking for another person to do it?
