Where are your radiators?

Apologies for a boring thread in advance!

Are your radiators under windows or on party walls or on internal walls?

I always thought that they were meant to be under windows, but the builder who came around today told me that it was the worst place for them and that they should be far from the windows...any comments?

I think our house (Victorian) has the new radiators in an efficient place, but it does make it hard to fit furniture in, particularly in the bedrooms.

DD's room has one wall of bay windows, one wall with the radiator, one wall with the chimney breast and therefore just one wall to have the bed and wardrobe on.

So if you move them think about furniture as well as heat efficiency!Wink

We have only one under a window and we shall be moving that soon. All the rest are on internal walls.

Not under windows but wish they were - when it's cold, half of the room is very cold despite the radiators being on. We don't have long curtains anyway, so that won't be an issue.
