Just had our survey back on the 1960s 3 bed semi we are buying. Nothing totally unexpected and am not planning on haggling on the price but can anyone give me an idea of costs for the following;
Replacement of back boiler to combi boiler (would probably go in existing airing cupboard which is next to the current flue but on 1st floor) and upgrade of existing radiators with thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs). Would we also be able to remove hot and cold water tanks with a combi boiler?
Refelting flat roof garage
Replacement of existing Rainwater fittings apparently mix of some original asbestos cement along the rear and more recent PVC
Upgrade a mains electricity supply with additional sockets around the house (The consumer unit is relatively modern and the visible wiring is in PVC)
Am also planning on moving the washing machine from kitchen to garage conversion. This would be placed next to a wall which adjoins a downstairs cloakroom with water supply
