We are buying a house and it has a small kitchen there is space for the washer and a dryer at either end but a dishwasher is a must have iv'e looked at tabletop ones but they are way too small also we prefer halogen oven and slow cooker etc to an oven so would we be able to keep the gas hob but take out the electric oven directly underneath it ? as far as i know they are not connected as its built in. TIA

no, a gas hob and its pipes take up some room under the worktop, so the d/wr would probably not slide in.

If you have a cabinet elsewhere under the worktop, you could probably swap round and put that under the worktop where the hob is, you would probably have to lose the top drawer (if any) and just have a dummy front.

Kitchen cabinets are not very difficult to move around.

You might also be able to fit a d/wr under a draining board, subject to investigation of space and pipes. D/wrs are very deep and have to fit tight to the wall behind, unlike cabs which (except for Ikea) are designed with a space behind for pipes and cables.

Could you not have a washer dryer and use the space from that?

You can also get a stacking kit to put the drier (light) on top of the washer (heavy).

I know Bosch do a standard stacking kit, but expect they are available for other brands or there may be a standard kit.

We are replacing the gas hob with a touchscreen electric for saftey so there wouldn't be any gas pipes and also no we cant not have a dryer also washers goes into the washer point next to the cooker so we couldn't stack a dryer on too Hmm
