I bought these from an ebay supplier a few months ago. Even with delivery ( reasonable) they were still cheaper than the equivalent from the tile warehouses etc locally. Good service too. The seller name was Wallsandfloorslimited on their ebay shop.

We've used them horizontally without any border and they make a slightly dark smaller bathroom look much brighter than the previous mock limestone efforts. Used a sparkly white quartz tile on the floor - from Ebay too ( massively cheaper) but that page has gone now. I think sticking to a very simple scheme really works in a smaller space. It's hard not to be seduced by lovely stuff at the tile shop though.

We recently did up a tiny bathroom (shower room, actually) with brick mosaic limestone tiles. We got them at the Topps tiles clearance shop, just down the road from their actual show room where the same kind of tiles are 3 or 4 times dearer. We used 30 cm square limestone tiles on the floor, and did a high border of two (or three?) pale blue glass mosaics at head height.

It looked fabulous, but I can't link to a picture, I'm sorry.

can't link as am on phone but I got some moroccan tiles for my kitchen from tonsillitis and love them. Fired Earth tile-a-likes but much cheaper.

EwanHoozami · 05/07/2014 08:18

erm, that'd be tons of tiles

not tonsillitis.

Blush

I think they were called Tangier, if that helps?

Yes, that's them, sorry for the link fail! I got all the new fittings, loo roll holder, grab rail etc on ebay too, there's a surprising amount available.

We used walls and floors for our downstairs loo. Only 2 narrow walls in brown mosaic tiles from their budget section.

I've had cheap (but don't look cheap) tiles from Tile HQ for my kitchen and will probably go back there when it comes to doing the bathroom.

We used some plain white tiles from Wickes, they were only £4 a box and look very smart considering they were so cheap. We were actually just redoing a leaky shower so they don't match the rest of the bathroom which we will do at a later date - just desperately needed a shower that works!!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 09/07/2014 11:26

Ewan, I love the Tangier ones!

www.tonsoftiles.co.uk are brilliant - I have used them for my whole restoration project (on a very tight budget!)

They have the same crackle glaze retro metro tiles as fired earth but for less than half the price!

They have slightly different names but come from the same factory!
