Something scratching around in the cavity wall...

between our house and next door

I have no idea what it is or how we can get to it. I did have a look outside and can't see a hole.

Any ideas?

The scratching is driving me slight crackers...

mice can get in anywhere and through incredibly tiny holes. Under the eaves by climbing plants? (we had one that did this!) Down near the ground?

put down some bait IF you don't have pets.

Mice or rats I think.

We've both got cats. I really hate killing things but we might need to take action on this one.

We had rats go up through the cavity into the loft, they got in from a cracked drain under ground.

Have you had a check of your loft?

I really would not poison them, the smell as they rot inside the wall is just horrendous.

I'm normally live and let live, but houses need to be residents and invited guests only. Mice can be quite destructive.
