Moving Next Week - Panic!

So, instead of moving mid-august as planned we are now completing & moving house next Friday, we've done a bit of a declutter so what is in the house is coming with us but need hints & tips on packing quickly!
We've got a 5 bed terrace to move in 8 days time so any hints gratefully received!

Remember to defrost the fridge and freezer. Get washing done and out of the way over the weekend. Set up mail redirect.

If it isn't too later and you can afford it, book the movers to do the packing for you the day before the move.

Label boxes with the room they are going into.

Do not make boxes too heavy - books are some of the worst things for this; mix them with other stuff.

Lidded see through plastic boxes are really useful.

If you have children old enough to help, get them to go through their own things by this weekend and do three piles: keep, charity/recycling and bin and have a trip to the tip and charity shop.

Thanks wow, have managed to pack everything apart from the kitchen and glassware so doing pretty well, you were right about the kids helping they loved it!
