DIY repair of dishwasher- help!!!

The on/off button on my Siemens dishwasher came off today and has dropped down and is wedged on its side and I want to fix it myself but think I might need to take the door apart to actually get to where the button sits if you know what I mean.
However the screws or whatever they are, that I need to undo, aren't normal screws nor do any of my Allen keys fit. It's needs something sort of round star shape??
It is out of warranty and really don't think it's a major problem to repair IF I can get to the button and where it should go! I really don't want to pay the 95-145 quid I've been quoted to get someone out to repair it!

Dishwasher works fine but can't turn it off when it's finished!

Any help?
