Getting new king-size divan bed...needs a headboard and haven't bought one for years! What's in at the moment?

It seems to be an upholstered divan base with matching upholstered headboard. A lot of plain grey's and moss greens from what I've seen.

As I'll be getting a new bed/headboard soon, will follow this thread with interest. Also, hoping I can tag onto this thread and ask where to purchase a headboard? I've no idea...

I have a chocolate leather one. It's not a separate one it's attached to the bed (not a divan) but I'm sure you can buy them standalone. I like it.

Loaf do some nice headboards.

Yes,I thought wooden ones seem less popular, will look at Loaf. John Lewis have lots, but a bit pricy.

Next do headboards which you can have custom-made in a wide range of fabrics. You can also have a matching valence made to cover your divan base. Although it's does work out quite expensive.

For our spare room, I just bought a cheap upholstered headboard from Dreams then bought some fabric I like from John Lewis and covered it (just wrapped fabric round headboard and stapled to the back).

I would second Loaf. Lots of styles and fabrics. I have two from them and they are great. No fabric covered one will be cheap though, especially if it is a nice fabric!

snowgirl1 what a clever idea.
