Can you recommend a gloss that doesn't stink

I need to gloss my woodwork but suffer sinusitis so I am trying to find a paint that doesn't smell. I have used water based paint in the past but they just don't look good.

Anyone used any with low odour?

Avoid oil based, the ones that take forever to dry.
Go for satinwood quick drying and no smell.

My DH was a painter and decorator, he refused to use gloss.
In the trade they call satinwood eggshell, you can get it in Matt which non shiny but shows up any imperfections or vinyl which is more forgiving. Eggshell doesn't discolour like oil based gloss.

not keen on eggshell, because on surfaces that get dirty, like doors, doorframes, windows round the handle, it gets handmarks which don't clean off. To my eye it looks like undercoat.

Satinwood is usually a bit more glossy and easier to keep clean.

I would be thinking more about opening the doors and windows in the rest of the house for extra ventilation (don't open the windows in the room you are working in case dirt or leaves blow in and settle on the wet paint).

Thankyou so much for your advice. Just been to DIY store and got dulux once satinwood hopefully that should do. Do you think this would be ok or is it best just to use undercoat then satinwood?

I love the finish on the oil based but my sinuses would just flare up so not worth the hassle.

if you are changing the colour, I would prefer undercoat.

Indoors, you can use white acrylic primer undercoat, which dries fast.
