Hello Everyone, I am looking to fit a new walking wardrobe, I can either go for the likes of sharps or buy fitting for a local builder to fit. Please can you recommend suppliers for doors and things, I would like something really presentable, a friend has mention ikea are if fitted by a carpenter, anymore suggestions?

I've never seem a walking wardrobe... Does it go and fetch your clothes for you? Can it iron too?

Walk-in you mean. Local joiner would be cheaper than high street but neither are budget options. We had fitted wardrobe made more than 15 years ago, roughly 3 metres long, 1.8 metres high and that cost around £1,700 so expect it would be double that now.

I'd get your joiner to fit out with plywood or similar then paint rather than try to fit your space around shop bought doors.

I had a estimate from a local builder about a fortnight ago for a 3 m long, 1.8m wide built in wardrobe of £1.5-2k depending on what we wanted in it and finish.

I hear v good things about the Ikea PAX range.
