I am looking for a new sofa for our kitchen/diner and like the look of some at Made.com - has anyone bought furniture from them? What is the quality like?

Our sofas are from sofa.com.

They are fab. Had them 5 years, they look new still. Kids, pets etc.

Spurious I've purchased six sofas from SofaSofa on line and they've all been excellent value for money and wear. Four of them have lasted at least ten years and don't look like they need replacing yet (no kids or pets but teens)

Agree SofaSofa are great... V pleased with the one we bought, so reasonable priced.

Also been very pleased with IKEA sofas, and especially the cool l-shaped sofa bed we bought from there to go in my office.

I suppose the drawback though with SS is that their designs are very mainstream, there's nothing out of the ordinary really if you want something a bit different. I tend to go for ordinary big stuff and unusual soft furnishings and accessories that I can move on if I get fed up of them.

We have a dining room table and sofa from Made. Table is great, sofa less so. I find it very flimsy and it looks tatty after less than a year. Today one of the springs started squeaking. The delivery times are also so long, and ours was delayed by a further few weeks (we did get a £50 voucher for this).

Personally we wouldn't buy from them again. We got our newest sofa from sofa.com which we've been highly impressed with. A touch more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Thanks for all the feedback! I have looked through some of the other websites, but sadly there are very few options that will fit in the space (needs to be 140cm wide or less - small sofa or snuggler size) and then not so much choice on colours. John Lewis 'design your own' seems to have quite a bit of choice, but a long wait time on them too.

Hi. I bought their yellow Sensé bin from Made.com 2 years ago and was very pleased, and still am. It only took 1 or 2 weeks to arrive, but I wasn't in a rush and I had no drama in the delivery. The quality has been excellent. It still looks brand new and even the electronics are working perfectly even after opening & closing several times every day. Everyone remarks on how nice it looks.

UPDATE: I now work a Made.com.* I know our customer service team and they work very hard to talk through all questions/ concerns –on the phone, email or even on social media (Twitter, etc). If you didn't get a response, please accept my apology and I urge you to try giving them one more chance.

(*However, my product review above is my personal experience from long before I worked for them, and it's completely honest -- I still use my bin every day and it looks & works perfectly, and it stands out nicely in my kitchen.)

I've had a few items from made.com and all of them were disappointing.

A shelf unit that looked like cheap MdF, ditto a coffee table, a Hollander bike that is the heaviest bike ever witnessed to man, and a bin.

To be fair the bin is alright.

Everything else got charity shopped/given away.

Expensive mistake!

Forgot to mention: they have 2 showrooms in the UK (www.made.com/showroom). You could call to see if they have one on display and then go in to measure the sofa to be sure. Or if they don't have it on display, they can find out the exact measurements and then call you back.

We bought this sofabed. It works fine as a sofabed and is quite comfy if you like a firm bed.
To sit on though, its so firm it gives you a shock when you sit on it if that makes any sense? With the cushions at the back it is also not very deep so you end up sitting bolt upright
