Dreaded Saniflo...

We have a Saniflo pump in our ensuite (installed by previous owners). Sometimes the pump doesn't automatically switch off - mostly after showers and I've presumed its because of the foaming from shower products etc. We flush the loo and it normally stops. But it seems to be getting worse and sometimes we have to flush the loo four or five times to get the pump to cut out or just switch off the power and then reset later.
I did get a Saniflo engineer to have a look but as the water to the loo couldn't be turned off (because the water comes from a header tank in the loft and he didn't want to touch the water pump it comes through) he ended up leaving having done nothing.
Has anyone got any ideas? Has anyone had a Saniflo engineer visit who they would recommend? We are in Surrey.
TIA

Thanks Too. I followed the instructions for using bleach from the Saniflo website last week. Not sure it made it much better. I also tried a descaler which deffo made it worse - it was very foamy I think.
I'll try the bleach again. Maybe I need to do it every day.....?

Just wanted to add that I had a manny round to fix it and he did a fabulous job. It's amazing now it finally works properly and I don't have to waste water flushing the loo to get it to switch off. Our man was not on the Saniflo website - but he was soooo much better than the first one who came (and didn't fix it). If anyone wants his details I'd be happy to pass them on.
