Sketty and other Swansea areas

Hi all

I was just wondered if anyone knew if Sketty in Swansea is a nice/decent place to live?

I have just got a new job in Morriston and am currently looking for places that are nice areas to live for a couple (in our late twenties) that Allows easy access (via car) to Morriston for work. Any recommendations?

Sketty is really nice. I have family living there. Sketty, Killay, Dunvant are similar, but Sketty is closer to the city centre. Uplands is more upmarket, with pubs with live bands and generally feels more lively.

I have moved to Swansea area not long ago and yes Sketty is nice and has good value property (but then we moved from London...) It does get busy traffic-wise.

Is Uplands upmarket? I hear different views. I really like it, it's lively with lovely houses. Some find it too studenty. Killay is more villagey. Mumbles, Newton and close by are lovely and close to the sea, but further away from Morriston.
