Internal doors

Am currently considering replacing all of our internal doors (9 in total, eek). I'm looking for something contemporary in Oak, e.g. like White Oak Door ). However I am totally clueless, have never bought an internal door before Confused. So, what do I need to think about...?

  • What should I be looking for to differentiate good from bad?
  • What is a reasonable price to pay for a quality door/door handles?
  • Are there any ways to save money, e.g. sourcing from a timbers merchant etc.
  • Any good online sources that people can recommend, ideally in (Northern) Ireland ?

Thanks in advance

oh and if we were to go with painted white rather than natural wood is it still worth going for oak or will pine look and feel just the same when painted?

I've seen those doors IRL and they are very nice! Would you need the oak frames too?

I think people tend to go for oak anything because of the beauty of the wood. It would be an expensive shame to paint it, but a bonus for anyone who bought the house fro you and had the doors dipped and stripped!
