should I be worried about this?

We are planning an extension and quite a lot of interior remodelling on our house. We have had five quotes, 4 of which are all roughly similar in total. We have a glowing personal reference for one builder from a friend of a friend and liked the builder when we met him. On Thursday we met to go over his quote and were quite clear he was our top choice, I think. I e-mailed on Monday to ask about getting contracts and explicitly saying we'd like him to do the work, and haven't heard anything back, so I texted him today to confirm he got the e-mail and could we arrange a meeting and have still got nothing. If I phone him tomorrow should I be arsey or have I been over pushy about getting it sorted? TBH now I'm getting the heebie jeebies now over hiring him.

Are they on holiday, out of the country? I do hope it's the case. Does this builder have other partners? I'd give his partners a call just hoping to let them explain.

maybe he's just busy. good contractors usually are. I wouldn't worry too much. it's his building skills not his office skills that matter.
