Hi there, we own a ground floor Victorian conversion, with renting tenants upstairs. There has been a leak from their bathroom that happens a few times a year, for the past four years. apparently it's the sealant around the bath that wears off and then water comes through. The landlord sends someone (usually her dad) round to patch it up, but obviously it's not being fixed properly. I've seen the bathroom and its really old. We have huge water stains on our ceiling (which to be fair they have offered to paint) but I am growing more and more frustrated. Is this just part and parcel of living beneath renters? Is there anything we can do? We will be moving shortly and plan to redecorate and rent the property out. Am concerned that this is never going to be sorted. There is also extensive water stains on our ceiling from beneath their kitchen, but her dad checked this last week and said the area was bone dry. End of my tether, any advice please?
