Bad sign EAs have taken the 'under offer' flag off the property we are buying?

It's in SE23 and the agents don't have a lot on the market so wondering if they've done it to get more people registering interest as the market is going a bit slower...

We offered three weeks ago, solicitor side of things progressing nicely, and the survey was today, so all on target for the seller's proposed completion date of 22 July.

I'll phone the agent tomorrow morning (we also sold through the same chain so don't think they'd mess us about)... but any reassurance?

Hopefully just incompetence by estate agents.

Gingerandcocoa · 10/06/2014 21:16

Did they leave the "for sale" flag? Or removed all flags?

Maybe the sign fell off? Or they needed it for another house?

I have always insisted that they agree in writing that they will not continue to market the property whenever I have had an offer accepted.

Get a friend to ask - but otherwise, just ask them what the hell is going on!

It's not a physical thing (they never had a sign up outside the property), but on rightmove... good idea about getting a friend to do it, I'll ask my sis tomorrow morning. And will also ring the agent and find out what on earth is going on!! Am hopefully just a bit paranoid after having had three purchases fall through...

Is it still under offer on Zoopla and the other sites?

lessonsintightropes · 10/06/2014 21:36

Nope, not listed as anything other than for sale on the agent's website, rightmove and zoopla.

Seems very odd. I wonder if they got something confused. I agree, get a friend to 'show interest'.

LawnOrnament · 11/06/2014 19:35

So what happened when you called?

rebeccamg · 11/06/2014 21:58

Yes! What happened? X

lessonsintightropes · 11/06/2014 22:14

Technical difficulties apparently, and when my mate called, they confirmed it was off the market. Phew!!!
