Hello all - was on here a lot a few years back when renovating a house (under a different name) and finally over the shock and about to start thinking about converting a detached tandem garage into a study/workshop/guestroom.
Will be needing to re-roof the whole thing anyway...one felted part of the roof is felt and leaking...older part of roof is asbestos. So that adds to the hassle but needs doing...so prompting the work.
We need more sockets, insulation, plastering, new windows, doors. We will also need to get the outside rendered (as old part if red-brick and newer bit is grey breezeblock...looks lovely..not!
So, anyone got any experiences to share - any warnings of what to think of - anything that turned into a total pain. Thank you in advance.
