hi my DH has an ICD - a type of pacemaker that can't be too near magnets? Does anyone know if that makes an induction hob impossible?
Thanks

according to NHS info you shouldn't use induction hob if you have an ICD fitted . interesting, no one asked me that when I bought my induction cooker, not that I have an ICD, but you would think it would be a standard question!

No it isnt a standard question and saying pacemakers and induction hobs conflict is a sweeping statement.

Less than 1% of products conflict and all good brands will be able to immediately confirm whether your model of pacemaker is likely to conflict with their hob.

When we bought our induction hob the salesperson did flag up the issue with pacemakers. As I don't know anyone with a pacemaker, I didn't ask any more questions. If dh had to have a pacemaker fitted I would face a real dilemma as I love my induction hob so much Grin
