painting a tarmac drive

Has anyone ever done this? we have a long 40ft drive up the side of our house in desperate need of replacement but funds don't allow.

What good will painting it do? If it is crap, it's crap! Try and patch it maybe?

you sound just like my dh! it will need patching too but it's also really faded grey which is why I've been looking tarmac paint

Sorry about that! I just think you might be throwing money away. One other solution might be to put gravel on it, so long as you retain the gravel so it does not spread everywhere. We have used a double row of granite setts.
