Range Cooker black Cooker, Black Hood Help

We currently have a 1000mm black range cooker for our kitchen..and are getting black quartz worktops for the worksurface and quartz backsplash behind cooker, if we get a black cooker hood would this be to much .. The kitchen units are all gloss white slab..

Any suggestions would be great as it can be daunting the amount of choices..

Also there doesn't seem to be much choice for 1000mm hoods would a 900mm hood go with a 1000mm cooker or would it look stupid?

Thanks

I think a black hood would look good but tbh you should try and get the 1000mil as the smaller one will not look right.(and probably annoy you forevermore)
here are some

Just thought black oven, splashback and hood might of been too much..with a range style cooker.. This is the cooker we opted for..

If you think it's too much, why not go for a stainless steel splash back to match your knobs?

WildThong · 30/05/2014 10:22

Eh, that would be the cooker knobs obv Blush

The tops picked are all black star galaxy quartz, so with upstands to match and splash back same material... so would seem a shame to use a stainless splash back... too mnay choices Shock

As the cooker is not block colour but broken up by the lighter panels in the door I would think that the black hood would be fine. I think anything else would look mismatched. Do you have some brochures you could do cut and paste pictures with to have a try out?

I have a black mercury range with black granite and cupboards similar to those you have described. We have the extractor above and is not too much black but the kitchen is now 10 years old. No problem with slightly smaller extractor thAn range.

The colours sound fine to me. Its a very strong combination
It was recommended that we didn't use a smaller hood as it allows more steam and smoke to escape. PITA if the smoke alarm keeps going off.
