As the question asks, how long after valuation was mortgage offer received? Did you apply under the new mortgage regulations, as I guess that could make a difference?

We got our mortgage offer about 3 weeks after they did the valuation (yesterday!! So relieved) but they arranged the valuation almost straight after they had received our application. It depends on where in the application process they do the valuation - pre-or post-submission to the underwriters for all the affordability checks. We went through under the new regulations.

About 2 weeks after valuation

treehousethunderstorm · 22/05/2014 21:22

About 2 or 3 days after the valuation. Which was less than a week after we submitted out application. Really quick!

Four days. This was last week. I had requested that they do all the legwork before the valuation as I'm not an EU national and wanted to be sure they were prepared to mortgage DP and myself before we incurred the cost of survey.

& yes we applied under the new rules. Not sure who the new rules are supposed to affect - we are taking out a London-sized mortgage but received no queries at all on our proposed monthly expenditure or past bank statement expenditure.

Ten days. We had a homebuyers survey and valuation and had to sign a form inbetween this and offer being released to say we understood that we hadn't had a full structural survey, which I think delayed it around five days.

Forgot to say we had ours before the new regulations came in, so that may have been quicker.

Can't remember, but I did have to give the surveyors a nudge because they weren't exactly speedy in getting their report out. This was before the recent changes.

Less than 48 hours.
