B&Q fitting questions.

Has anyone had a bathroom installed by b&q? Do you know if they can be negotiated with on the fitting price.

I'm just wondering if it's worth going in to talk through the plans they sent me or if I should just bin them and find someone else.

I would get quote from independent bathroom installers - but then that is the business I am in so self-interest there.
As ever on something like this, shop around, get more quotes and make sure you understand what is included, excluded in the prices.

Also make sure you are clear who is responsible for the installation if you find a leak or problem 6 months later.

That's my worry about independents mrstara. I would much rather use an independent but worry about the guarantee. I don't know anyone who has used local independents so can't get a recommendation. The plumber I used previously has moved to Spain.

Finding all this home improvement planning so stressful!

I've not had a bathroom installed by B&Q but in the process of getting quotes to have ours done.

I personally would find my own independent installer as I think B&Q would already put a mark up on it and I'm not sure I want someone doing this without me vetting them first.

Having said that, it's been a bit of nightmare trying to find someone to actually come and have a look but I've managed now to get a few....
