Present for EA?

We've just exchanged on our sale and the guy at our EA dealing with it has been great - unflappable and willing to spend a lot of time sorting out little niggly last minute issues. Obviously, this is what we are paying him for, but I wanted to get him a little something to express our thanks for doing a good job. Is a bottle of champagne either too small or too grand, or just right?

Small name Champagne or good Prosecco, just right IMO

Willow33 · 20/05/2014 22:27

Good name champagne is what we have done.

I've got a bottle of Pol Roger, thought it was a good compromise Grin

I'm sure he'll be delighted. So few people remember to show gratitude for a job well done, even just getting a thank you card feels like a red letter day, and everybody gets the meaning of a bottle of champagne. Lucky you to get a goodun! Smile

We bought a massive cake for the whole office on our last sale but that was mainly because more than one person had contributed on our sale. Definitely a nice thing to do for them if they've done a great job.

Congrats on exchanging Smile

Also send a letter to the managing partner at the firm he works at saying how great he was.

We were thinking of buying our EA a telephone instruction manual as a present... so he can learn how to return phone calls Wink

They haven't been all bad in fairness so we were going to take a couple of bottles of wine in for them to share out.

Am I mean in thinking that their commission is their thank you?

IsabellaRockerfeller · 22/05/2014 09:11

I wrote to the head of the company to tell him what a great job our EA had done. Hopefully he will have got some recognition for his hard work, I know he was looking to move into a more senior role. Oh and some nice whisky too cos his colleague told me he likes that.

Yes bottle of classy booze is great! I'll make his day I am sure. I like the sound of letter to the firm manager too.

Congratulations!

He was very happy with it! Grin
