Hiya

Just after a ball park figure for rewiring our not very big semi, before I brace myself to get quotes. Anyone had a house rewired recently?

TIA

I've been quoted £2,500 today for a complete re-wire on a 3 bed semi. This is in Lancashire if that makes any difference.

We our 5-bed house done for £4.5k + VAT, not including making good. I'd get a few quotes as it can vary.

When people say it's messy, they are not exaggerating!

Electricians are not usually good plasterers or decorators, so arrange that separately.

5k including replatering and repainting give or take.

My landlord says the cost changes reduces drastically if you can have the house completely empty, rather than them having to work around your stuff room by room etc.

About 5k in west London. Made good too, by a plasterer not electrician.
