Short term let/lodging in Letchworth/Herts - Where to start?

DS is looking to rent a room in Letchworth or surrounding area for 16 weeks from the beginning of June while he is training to be a Police Officer. He lives in Essex so just a little bit too far to commute each day, but he would come home at weekends so it would only be needed from Sunday - Thursday nights.

Does anyone know of any agencies that deal with short term lets or lodgings - everything on the internet seems to be longer term rentals? Or the names of any local papers/resources we could try?

spareroom - Monday to Friday or near lets are common. Also airbnb, and if he's feeling brave, try gumtree.

the standard rental sites are for six months and usually for whole properties.
