Where are you supposed to display the Site Notice for planning?

We just got this through today and it says display somewhere on the site. Not sure what point there is putting it in our window as noone will see it so presumably it needs to go near the pavement but our walls are too low.

Do I put it on a lamp post?

in my neighbourhood they put it on the nearest lantern post.

in our village they go on the nearest lampost, or the village notice board or some people laminate them and put them on a stick nr the driveway or front gate.

Telegraph poles round here.

As a matter of interest what are you planning . Is it obligatory no matter how minor the request ?

New porch, large extension on the back and into the side return and a loft conversion. So pretty big! Yes I think it is a requirement for anything that has to go through planning. They only informed our neighbours eitherside opposite and behind so I guess everyone else on the street should have the chance to look if they want to.

Thanks everyone, there is a telegraph pole outside our neighbours house so I will stick it on there :)
