What's your verdict on these please folks.

Space saver/dusty TV screen preventing/naff beyond belief/only O.K in a hotel room/ rubbish and break easily ?

All experiences/opinions welcome.

H really seems to want one but I'm wondering if he wants it as he knows I hate the idea/look of having a TV in the bedroom (unless it's a hotel room) and thinks if can be popped down out of sight when not in use, then I might relent.

We've got one. It's probably a complete no no and verrrrry common in mn world but I bloody love it. Randomly DHs nan brought it for us as a surprise wedding present as out bed was old.

Space saving, convenient and just brilliant for snuggling up and watching tv.

RCheshire · 12/05/2014 14:50

We don't like TVs in bedrooms so biased in advance, but am curious... Does the TV rise out of the bed frame and get wired underneath?

gamerwidow · 12/05/2014 15:05

I wouldn't because I don't know how robust the pop up mechanism is or how easy the tv bit is to replace if it breaks.
At least when the two items are separate they're easy to fix and replace.
probably also a bit naff but I'm a great believer in doing your own thing so I wouldn't let that stop you Smile

A bit naff to be honest, but I don't really see why you'd want a TV in the bedroom at all. Each to their own - it's your bedroom so presumably there won't be all that many people seeing it and judging!!

HygieneFreak · 12/05/2014 16:18

I have a tv bed.

We love it.

Cost £2000 though and that didnt include the mattress.

Had it a year, no problems at all with it so far.

Somedizzy .... Is your bed yellow?

specialsubject · 12/05/2014 16:18

don't complain about poor sleep quality if you have a TV in the bedroom. There should be no screens there at all.

but otherwise - your bedroom, your rules! Who else goes in there to judge anyway?

HygieneFreak · 12/05/2014 16:20

I dont know anyone that doesnt have a tv in their room

peggyundercrackers · 12/05/2014 16:20

yep I think they are a bit naff, we don't have a tv in the bedroom though so wouldn't really use something like that.

somedizzywhore1804 · 12/05/2014 16:26

Hygeine no but one of the colour options was apparently yellow! Is yours? I quite like the yellow by DH is a bit of a coward with colour lol.

It does get wired underneath yes, and the tv does spring up.

I stand by my telly bed. It's brilliant!

Somedizzy

I posted on here a year ago asking about tv beds before i bought mine.

You linked to the one you had, and it was yellow, and you also mentioned that it was a wedding present from a grandma.

I thought you might of been the same poster.
