if you've had biofold doors put in, how much did it cost?

Hi!

We've got a big window in our kitchen and I'd really like the whole wall knocking down and biofold doors put in as there's not direct access from the kitchen-garden and it would bring the "outside in"

I have no idea of cost , however.

If you've done similar could you be v kind and give me an approximate? Any advice?

Ta Mary, I was planning 6k (not that we have it!) So sounds about right?!

We're in the process of getting quotes for a 4.1m x 2.1m opening, they're coming in between 3.5k & 6k (and up!). Don't forget to factor in a structural engineers visit and report (ours is £1k ish) and building control visit not to mention the builders costs and cost of supporting steel RSJ etc.

We had ours done as part of a big redesign and extension 4 years ago. They cost a lot, it was one of the few things we did top of the range as
a. We are very exposed and we wanted to ensure they could withstand the worst weather. Have had some bad storms and they've been great.
b. We don't plan on moving or changing the doors.
We have 5 panels, they are flush (again this was important to us, lots weren't flush when we shopped around), they are aluminium, German made and fitted cost around £10k.

We have recently had a quote for three leaf aluminium bifolds 2400 by 2400 of £2819.25 plus vat (not including installation).

3m run bifold but look like french doors £5k. Made by a local carpenter.
