Short term lets in Brighton?

I know not technically a property question but wd need to travel down there to find a place to buy and can't seem to locate estimates - any ideas on a three month rental typical? Wd be near Falmer work wise but wd be flexible for the three month rental.

lets under six months won't appear on any of the standard sites - minimum AST is 6 months. There used to be a section on findaproperty.com but that site has now vanished.

holiday flats are the obvious but if you don't have £700 a week
you need to go a bit off-piste; gumtree, perhaps student digs vacant over the summer, airbnb and so on.

Yes you will need to take 6 months. I am in Brighton and have just secured a rental as we aren't going to but for a couple of years. Lots to let though but avoid falmer as expensive rentals due to student lets

I'd actually recommend you contact housing at Uni of Brighton and Uni of Sussex. They often have to organise or advise visiting fellows on short term let's so are a good source of advice. Some of the independent research centres at the unis are worth trying too e.g. www.ids.ac.uk at UoS has a public newsletter called yellow Monday which often has ads for people offering accommodation and I think you can advertise for a couple of quid too.

Can't remember the company but my friend let her house in Brighton over the summer holidays one year - as a single six week let. Sorry - can't remember who they did that with.
