What colour kitchen shall I have?

Just finished bathroom and downstairs loo and ended up choosing black marble-effect floor, white units, black bath surround, black basin surround, feature black & gold mosaic tiles.

Now it's time for my kitchen. I'd planned on the same black marble-effect floor, but now fitter has bought light oak door sample round it just doesn't go. He's also bought sample stone/marble effect tiles in beige.

I just don't like brown or beige...
And now I'm not sure about the floor. It's not a huge kitchen but it's east facing so gets lots of light.

I was toying with duck-egg blue tiles....

Anyone got any ideas for lovely colour combinations?

You will be forever cleaning black in a kitchen. If the units are pale wood I would look at a beige large format tile and there are loads at Porcelanosa. They tend to be modern in style and I always get so many samples because I can't choose. They are all about texture and their web site is good.
