Hello lovely ladies,

Please can you help me decide on a pair of table lamps for my hall console table.

Options are:

A - I'd probably change the shades.

B

C

Thank you!

Without seeing the rest of the decor and just going on the lamps alone, I prefer option B. The others feel a bit twee and fussy.

B - with C a close second.

I dont like being able to see the bottom of the lamp holder on A but if the lampshade was changed then all bets are off

I like A (though definitely not the shades), then B.

JeggingsHateMe · 28/04/2014 19:37

I'm sorry I don't like any of them but if I had to choose out of the 3 then I would go for B.

It's so hard picking things like this, the bits that make a home, enjoyable but can be bloody hard work ;)

littlegreengloworm · 28/04/2014 19:39

I like c but the shades aren't really what I'd like in any of them.

Karbea · 28/04/2014 20:32

No I'll probably change the shades regardless of which I pick.

I'm open to other suggestions, if you've seen something nicer.

Yes the details are hard!

This is similar but with a more modern shade

I like Pannacott's lamp.

If you want a fabulous statement lamp, have a look at the Heathfield and Co range sold by Occa Home. Beautiful lamps and extremely well made.

B for me - nice and elegant. Don't mind the shade either to be honest! I don't like C and A is OK but agree with the comments about seeing the fitting and the shade not being great.

I also like Pannacotta's suggestion.

B for me too. The others are nice but a bit more run of the mill IYSWIM

I would make sure they are easy to switch on and off.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/04/2014 00:16

B is the best of the three.

Have a look in TK Maxx and BHS too they have some unexpected crackers. I got a wonderful Ralph Lauren Home lamp in TKs about 6 months ago which was bargaintastic.

But B is my fave.
