Removal costs west Devon to Surrey

Hi. Does anyone have any ideas on removals costs from west Devon to Central Surrey?

I have no idea what to expect as I've only ever moved locally and this is such a big distance.

If anyone has relocated 200+ miles I'd love to have comparison costs or ideas what to expect from quotes. I have a full two bed house of furniture and guessing I'll need a minimum of a 7.5 ton truck.

Not sure about man and van services as I don't know how I'd cope with loading and unloading.

We moved 200 miles last September from Liverpool down South. We had a 3 bed house with probably average number of belongings and they did it with two trucks. It cost £900.

It took two days. Day one - they loaded up the vans and took everything back to the depot (whilst we made our way down). Day two - they got up stupidly early, were with us by 9am, unpacked the van and headed off.

We had another quote for £1400. They were planning on driving down on day one and spending the night somewhere local.

Hope the move goes well.

I'd budget for £1200 - it'll be a two day move for sure, and it might come in a bit less, but make sure they will be parked up somewhere secure overnight. Some small firms will lay up in a services, which is not a good thing with all your worldly goods

Thanks. I was guessing £1k. I think it is prob two days as it's 4 hour trip one way.

Be grateful for any other estimates.
