Sorry for the lack of measurements etc. I would love a cream kitchen and just a very rough estimate would be great ( dh could fit it ) can't get to ikea in next few weeks so any idea of price would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

It depends on the spec, even it IKEA and the expensive units are the tall ones (left of your photo). If you have basic base cabinets with shelves (their new range has things like a cabinet which looks like a plain base cabinet to look at but when you open it , it has 2/3/4 etc drawers behind it - those kind of extras significantly increase the price etc) it would probably be (at a guess) £2.5k for the cabinets. The worktops are relatively cheap, then its appliances, taps, sink etc.

Would recommend using the kitchen planner, its very good and gives you the cost breakdown.

Layl77 · 26/04/2014 19:34

I'd say 2.5-3:5k ball park depending on extras and size of kitchen. You can get massive savings going to a trade warehouse an eBay for taps etc

babyfedleaning · 26/04/2014 19:51

Ours has about that many lower units and included an extractor(more wide drawers though) and in mid 2010 it cost £3500. Ikea has just changed the base carcasses of their kitchen units (so new ones no longer compatible with the old fAKTUM ones) - I reckon about £4000-£4500. Like others say download the kitchen planner!

Mrsladybirdface · 26/04/2014 19:52

We had 15 units including a tall one and they came 1700-1800. This was mostly drawers with hidden drawers.

If you scroll down a couple of pages my thread with pics shows my kitchen.

If you use the Ikea planner it will price it up for you as you go. One tip set it up on specifically set up ikea email address i.e [email protected] that way you can share your plans with online communities and ask for help with your plans Smile

Mrsladybirdface · 26/04/2014 19:53

My price was units only

BorisJohnsonsHairdresser · 26/04/2014 19:55

Mine was a lot more expensive. If you fit it yourself, have basic units, foil doors, no end panels, no cornice and no built in appliances then it is much less.

littlegreengloworm · 26/04/2014 20:09

So worst case scenario 3.5? Thank You

Can't you just change the doors and sink and work tops? I'm sure the units themselves are fine

noddyholder · 27/04/2014 08:17

You could get those factory sprayed if in good condition It comes out brilliantly.

mandy214 · 27/04/2014 13:47

noddy how do you go about finding out how to get doors sprayed? Sorry if thats a stupid question.

noddyholder · 27/04/2014 13:51

Not stupid at all. I rang a few garages who spray cars and one of them was happy to do it :)

littlegreengloworm · 27/04/2014 16:58

Brilliant idea!!!! I have learned so much from mumsnet.

Btw, this isn't a picture of my kitchen ( didn't want to out myself but one we might buy )
