What can I used to insulate a wood shed in the garden? How do I go about it?

Rigid slabs nailed to the inside timbers will do. Kingspan or Celotex is better than polystyrene. Have a look at the Wickes website.

Mineral wool rolls will be more work, and encourage rodent nests.

How are you going to heat it?

No, but I suppose that would be better than nothing.

he big Celotex sheets with the silver foil skin, yes.

25mm would do for a shed, but 50mm is better and costs almost the same. It is easy to cut with a saw. Sometimes on ebay you will see damaged or soiled slabs going cheap, but the sheets are very big so transport is a problem. A small shed you can probably cut the slabs so you only need two pieces per wall or roof. It is light so you can do the door as well and make a shutter for the window. It will crumble if you keep banging into it, but you can make a thin ply skin if necessary. It is quite rigid and you can even lay flooring on it.

Thank you PigletJohn.
