We have been living abroad (various countries within EU) since 1998. We are both now aged 40 with 3 kiddos aged 1, 4 and 7 and have decided to return to the UK for several reasons, mostly education/language problems over here.
We have no idea where to move back to! DH's parents sold up and moved to France a few years ago, my folks are in Bham but we don't want to live there, although relatively easy access would be good. We also have close family in central London, Nottingham and Kent.
Looking for ideas of somewhere nice for the kids (with amenities, good schools etc), not too pricey, and where DH can find work - he works in EFL (English as a foreign language). This is the hard part - everywhere I an think of that has lots of EFL work is HUGELY expensive e.g. London, Oxford, Cambridge, York, but EFL salaries are quite low.
Any ideas?
