Hardwood flooring in London

Hi has anyone recently had hardwood flooring fitted in their home? How much did this cost? I would like to get my living room and hall way done.

Can anyone recommend fitters who do this bases in or around London? I want to start getting some quotes together but I have no idea where to start! Plus I'd prefer to go with recommendations too.

Our friends just used Gold Flooring in Kingston and got fab service. The owner is called Aiden and he is lovely. The friends who live in Richmond had had such arrogant service from a Richmond company that they went here. They bought a wood that Gold flooring had stained and oiled and it was cheaper than the well known brands. The company laid it and my friends are so very happy with it.
