It depends on a lot of things really, so difficult to answer this question without photos/decor details, I suspect its not actually your floor that looks cold, but a combination of the floor with the rest of the decor, rugs will help if course, but the right wall colouring etc would probably help too

I've put underlay under the.rugs on my chilly wooden floor., the old fashioned kind. Got it on eBay and cut to size with scissors. It's made the rugs squishy underfoot- much cosier.

is it on the ground floor, is it the original floorboards; how old is the house?
