House move, are people dragging their feet or am I being impatient?

Agreed our house sale on 28 February and house purchase on 6 March. We completed and returned our fixtures and fittings and property information forms with all guarantees and other information (and deeds) within two working days and have our mortgage offer.

Our sale - Our solicitor sent copies of all forms, info and title deeds to purchaser's solicitors. Haven't heard back with any further enquiries. Purchaser had her valuation done this week.

Our purchase - Solicitor has heard with details of title (which he is happy with and has no enquiries on) and put in searches. Hasn't received fixtures and fittings form and property information form back. Would think this was simple as it was all refurbished and they purchased in 2010, so not like we want something 15 years old which may have been lost.

Agent is acting for all four parties in chain and touched base with us last week. She commented it's going slow, but everyone seems happy.

Are we being impatient? I'm aware the next stage could be slow if anyone raises further enquiries or there is a problem with survey, but feel the easy bit should be going quicker and know we haven't delayed anything.

no such thing as impatient with this, people do tend to go to sleep if not nagged.

kick the agent, because they have the most to lose after you. Get them to earn the fee and chase the other parties' solicitors; you can only talk to yours.

phone daily. Sounds like you also have dozy vendors who haven't returned their form. They need kicking too.
