So, we are on the hunt for our 4th builder in a year.
What on the earth are we doing wrong? We offer nice easy jobs with no time constraints, no unreasonable demands, tea and biscuits on tap.
But the latest one spent a week telling us he was "ill", his mate told us he'd been working on another job meanwhile, he admitted it and said he'd come to us evenings and weekends, so we gave him another chance as tbh we're in no rush.
We just calculated that over the last 3 weeks since this 2nd chance he's done the equivalent of 1 and a half days' work...
Not turning up today, for the 5th day on the trot, after promising us by text last night (and all the other days) he'd be in, was the final straw. Annoyingly he now won't answer his phone so I can't tell him where to go!
So, if there are any good builders/bathroom fitters in the East Midlands area, who would like to be fed lots of tea and told how brilliant they are if they just turn up, we have about 2 days work left on our bathroom!
