Cost of installing doors between reception rooms

DH and I want to install doors on parliament hinges in between the two reception rooms in (soon to be) our 1930s house.
We'll need to knock through a wall, have it refinished and doors hung. Has anyone had this done recently and could you please give me a ball park of your costs?
Thank you

Is the wall you want to knock through load bearing?

TakingTheStairs · 09/04/2014 00:33

I don't believe so.

Oooh, us too! Load bearing wall for us though...

Hello,

Just thought I'd update for those that were also looking into getting this done. The wall we want to put doors into is load bearing. We have only had one quote so far, but including putting in the structural support beam etc we've been given an estimate of 3.5K to do the work. We're in London.

Thanks
