We have accepted offer on our flat. Had our offer accepted on house and everything is now in the hands of the building society(mortgage) and solicitors. Our buyer is not in a chain and neither is our seller. When should we start packing?

Where do we get boxes from? We have never properly moved house.

you start decluttering and packing non-essentials now. You finalise it when you have exchange.

boxes can be bought at vast expense; or obtained on freecycle if you are quick, plus supermarket cardboard is also great. You need lots of packing tape and bubble wrap, and some internet research on how to pack things.

don't leave things in 'the hands of'. Keep nagging or they go to sleep.
