We are looking at various areas. Would Bow be a good place to buy a flat? Also, are properties in Bow going for inflated prices like other areas? Thanks.

We are also looking in Bow, and yes, the market is very hot. To give you an idea, a few weekends ago we looked at a house that was nice, but quite near the train line, and it still went for £50k over asking. I tried to look at a period mews house a few weeks ago and the second viewer offered such a premium to asking that the agent took it off the market 18 hours after launching mid-week. However, less desirable (usually non-period) property is not necessarily selling at asking price.

I really like the area, it has gentrified a bit but is still quite mixed, and being near the Central Line is always a bonus. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I am not sure how anybody does buy to be honest. Good luck with your search. Are you looking at any other areas?
