Installing central heating - costs?

Hello,

I have found my dream home - great location, lovely old cottage, 3 beds, BUT it has no central heating. Now it's heading for Summer and we wouldn't need it for a while, but I have no idea what it would cost to install, how long it would take, what I need to consider! Anyone ever done this? Any tips?

what fuel will it be?

summer is the time to get it done while there is some chance of somebody turning up. You need to get investigating now.

I don't know Confused - it's a terrace so I guess we should find out what the other houses have....

what I'm driving at is 'is there a mains gas supply?'

I paid £3.4k for Worcs Bosch mains gas central heating combi boiler in a 2 bed - radiators in every room too. It was 8 years ago in northern England. Was installed in a day.

I thought that was a lot, but have no idea really.

That's interesting, thanks Twat Grin

I just have no idea of possible costs, I guess £5k up is a reasonable estimate. Good to know how quick it was too!
