Hi peeps,
I hope you can help .. I'm going stir crazy with moving!!
I have family in Kent and I'm thinking of moving to Canterbury. I feel it has a mixture of people and nice atmos. Here's my requirements..
Links to London for the hubby.
Good schools for my 2 girls 8,5.
Semi rural.
I'd like to know where best to bring our family up!! And the bad places to avoid.. I've heard wincheap?
I'm a 31 yr old Essex girl so have no idea of Canterbury.
Thanks x

love love love Canterbury !!! so excited for you !! Sturry is a tad more rural - some great schools about - I've been out of Kent for a good few years now - so can't give you the local info on schools etc - but hopefully this will bump your message back to the top and some good Kentish peeps will see it !! good luck with it all !! ;-)

Canterbury is ace! We moved from London and couldn't be happier with life down here. Try the villages to the east side of Canterbury - Bridge, Bekesbourne, Wingham (Wickhambreaux and Ickham are wonderful but so hard to find properties there). If your not community from Canterbury West every day then try a bit further to get more for your money - Ash is good. Im not too sure about living in the city itself, thats not to say there aren't any great areas, I'm sure there are but obv its not rural.
