Ikea oak "Hyttan" Kitchen - Does it age well?

Hi,
Am leaning towards this design, but just wondering:

a) is it easy to clean?

b) does the oak veneer change colour over time? It worries me that it looks a bit orange new, does it darken/go greyer?

A wood kitchen is not what I would have chosen but I really want to avoid white, currently have a cream Shaker style, and the Hyttan looks a bit more robust than some other Ikea designs.

Thanks in advance for you thoughts

I'd be tempted to mix it up with a grey door too - just to give it some balance - all oak might be a bit overbearing ?! I've not had experience of this one - but should imagine it's easy enough to wipe clean . I'd ask in store if it will change in colour ? depends on the way its finished I guess - that, and if it's in strong sunlight too ?!?!

Thanks

Your mention of grey is interesting.

I do want to make it look less "country" and was planning on doing that with dark colour on the walls, and some industrial-style lights and handles. Maybe a stainless steel worktop on the island, so I'll consider the grey with that in mind.
