Garage floor - who to ask

We currently have a single garage with a floor that's a bit uneven and dusty. The walls are mostly brick. I think the floor is concrete although it is uneven and dusty.

We want to get the floor relaid so that it is (a) level and (b) dust free, so that the garage can mostly be used as a gym/bike workshop (if we can't get it mostly dust free, I guess we'd lay some sort of industrial matting over the floor).

I've been doing some research online and it doesn't look that simple and we'd need a bit of kit (none of which we have). The garage also has drain vents running along the front of it, along the width of the garage which collects rainwater from the driveway.

So, who should I approach to do this? A builder? A specialist flooring company? I don't really want to spend lots of money - it is only a garage, after all, and we're not intending to use it as a show room for cars!

Think you can paint it with some special paint ot get rid of the dust. Won't help with the unevenness though.

Thanks - we definitely need it levelled as well though... else the bike stands etc will wobble on the uneven floor!

If it is concrete which is thick and uncracked, you could have it quarry-tiled.

However you say it is uneven so probably a bodge job and may be thin and weak. How old do you think it is?

People have known how to pour, consolidate and level concrete floors for about a hundred years using only two labourers and a length of wood.
