Going to sort this out this year but could do with ideas.
It's slightly complicated. Slightly to the right behind the house is our shed, this used to be a garage but we knocked half of it. The area right in front if this is going to be decking as the ground is very uneven and decking is the easiest to level things.
DH initially was going to bring the decking to cover all the area immediately outside the back door but I'm worried about it being slippery. I've read loads if reviews online where people regretted getting it.
I'd like sandstone patio slabs but they might be too expensive. DHs latest idea is slate chipping but we have a 7 month old baby and dog and I'm not sure how practical this would be.
There's also going to be a pergola coming out from the shed and DH plans to extend this as well to over the area outside the back door. The patio is lovely and sunny, I really don't want it to be too shady.
